Tekno After the Headies Awards Ceremony
A lot of music lovers still recollect how YBNL boss and indigenous rapper Olamide went on rampage destroying properties of the organisers of The Headies in 2015.
Then, the cause of the crisis was who really deserved to win the Next Rated category between his protege Lil Kesh and Don Jazzy’s, Reekado Banks. Mavin Records Reekado Banks had won the category only for Olamide to let all hell lose.
With a sheepish face, Olamide subsequently apologised for his stupidity appreciating what the award organisers had added to his career.
With singer Tekno’s decision to snub the same award having been nominated in a seemingly degrading Next Rated category, critics of The Headies consider it a slap to the image of the organisers of the award.

However, the poser a lot of people are asking is hope Tekno will not follow the path of Olamide and subsequently apologise for snubbing the award.
It will be recalled that prior to the award which held recently many had criticised its organisers for the category in which Tekno was nominated saying that he was too big an artiste for such a nomination.
