This follows an unsuccessful attempt to arrest the singer following a petition written by a fellow musician against the Zazu crooner.

Giving an update on the development following a viral Instagram Live video in which Portable suggested that there was an attempt to arrest him by policemen without identity cards and an arrest warrant, the spokesperson of the Ogun State Command, SP Abimbola Oyeyemi, noted that four invitations had been sent to Portable to come for questioning after a fellow singer wrote a petition to the police command claiming Portable stormed his studio, got some people to beat him up, and then locked his studio.

Furthermore, Oyeyemi stated that Portable failed to honor the invitations and so the officers after securing a warrant of arrest from a competent court of jurisdiction, went to his bar to get him arrested.

According to him, Portable decided to cause a scene so as to prevent the police from doing their job. He added that Portable’s father intervened and promised to bring the singer on or before Friday, March 31 for questioning.

The spokesperson who said nobody is above the law added that the police will wait till Friday, March 31, adding that if Portable’s father fails to bring him to the station, they will proceed to arrest the singer.
