Reacting to the viral video, the Ogun State Police Command confirmed that its officers attempted to arrest the singer at his bar following four invitations that were ignored. According to the officers, a petition was received against Portable.

The spokesperson of the state police command, SP Abimbola Oyeyemi, who confirmed the attempt at arresting Portable said that four invitations have been sent to Portable to come for questioning after a fellow singer wrote a petition to the police command claiming Portable stormed his studio, got some people to beat him up, and then locked his studio.
