Liverpool might be crowned the champions of the 2019-2020 English Premier League.
This is following a new rule by the Union of European Football Association (UEFA).
According to the new UEFA rule, the 2019-20 campaign will not be declared null and void but has to be concluded before June 30th.
If the league is not completed within the stipulated time frame, the league could be canceled with the Reds who have established a 25 point lead with nine games left to play crowned winners.
Leagues across Europe and other parts of the world have been suspended for months due to the global pandemic. A number of sporting events have also been postponed including the Euro 2020, Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and others.
