Nollywood actress and movie producer, Mercy Aigbe has addressed issues relating to her switching religion from Christianity to Islam.
Recall that the mother of two who is currently in her third marriage switched religion when she got married to movie marketer, Kazeem Adeoti.
Speaking on why she changed her religion, she said it was because of her husband.
Aigbe who is set to release her latest effort, “Ada Omo Daddy,” on December 15, justified her action saying, “I’m a 45-year-old woman now.
“I’m responsible for my actions and my decisions.”
She went on to say, “The thing is when it comes to religion, I am a very liberal person.
“And then, yes I love my husband very much.
“My husband is very religious also.
“He’s someone I admire a lot.
“After COVID, I was almost struggling with going to church and all that…
“And the thing actually made our bond tighter and sweeter….”
