Grammy Award-winning star, Burna Boy, has explained why he said that he is not a Nigerian artiste.
The ‘Kilometer’ singer stated that though he’s from Nigeria, he should not be tagged as such, adding that he does not make money from Nigeria.
Burna Boy stated this in a tweet while reacting to a discussion about his achievements as an international artiste.
Reacting to an argument about the achievement of the singer, a follower of the singer said that Burna will soon leave Twitter Nigeria for Nigerians.
This saw Burna Boy replying thus: “Me wey no even be Nigerian artist.”
He further said: “I’m from here and I live here because I love my home and my people, E no pass like that. I don’t make money from Nigeria. Na only cruise dey here.”
