Blogger, Linda Ikeji, of www.lindaikejiblogspot.com has apparently not learnt her lesson after she was shutdown by Google for Plagiarism and negative representation.

The blogger is currently been alleged of misrepresenting a speech delivered by Rotimi Amaechi during the Best of Nollywood event.

Linda Ikeji’s story on Best of Nollywood and Gov. Rotimi Amaechi has seen a lot of people scorning the blogger.

Below is an unedited reaction to Linda Ikeji story, as posted by Journalist Funsho Arogundade on his Face Book page.

I read with disgust the lies on the controversial Linda Ikeji’s blog on the claim that Governor Rotimi Amaechi insulted Nollywood. This girl will never learn her lessons. What she blogged was a blatant lie against the person of Gov. Amaechi. The gentleman never insulted Nollywood. I was at the Best of Nollywood Awards event live inside the Government house in Port Harcourt where the purported insult was made and had the governor on tape. He never insulted the industry as Linda erroneously want people to believe. Amaechi, speaking on the state of the nation, had pointed out that like every other sector, Nollywood has had some people drifted to the industry due to unemployment. He mentioned some gradute of engineering who are in the movie or banking industry. He stated that they were in those sector as a matter of neccesity. Was he lying? Nope. He even make an example of himself having to initially join politics because he needed to make a living before graduating to seeking elective post to serve other people later. So, there are others too who practically find solace in Nollywood after searching for job for a very long time without success but luckily, Nollywood presents an opportunity for them to become gainfully employed. So, na lie abi? Amaechi had only enjoined them to be professional and look at producing movies with more social messages. He also subtly advised the Nollywood players not to allow them to be used for political reasons. That’s all. But I suspect this actor/producer, Elvis Chuks, as one of those peddling this fake rumour. I overheard him reporting this Amaechi falsehood to someone on phone (possibly Linda) while we were aboard an Aero Contractor flight from Port Harcourt back to Lagos. I overheard him talking about Amaechi insulting them and he talked about himself who studied a sociology related course in a US institution being insulted by the governor. For God sake, this is crass irresponsibility. May be few others like him who is misinterpreting Amaechi’s ‘product of necessity’ description lack comprehension of Amaechi simple English expression. On Joke Silva and Kate Henshaw, it riled one who intentively listened to the governor spoken and then read on Linda Ikeji’s an embellishment version of the whole truth with wicked lies. The governor never mentioned given these women any personal money but said the state govt has only commissioned Joke Silva to handle a creative project for the state. I just needed to state the true happenings as some ill-informed guys have already started verbal lashing the governor. It’s disappointing that Elvis Chuks and his lying gang could promote a blatant nonsense!
