Whither Tokunbo Sijuade?

Irrelevance has a way of forcing the best of socialites into hibernation.

At a point, Tokunbo Sijuade was one of the most sociable men in Nigeria. Painting the town red was one of his past times, as he was one of the choice guests at some of the biggest Nigerian parties.

A fine man, he was also linked to some of the finest women, including Nike Osinowo.

However, those memories are now vague, as Sijuade has really gone underground.

Unlike in the past when he was a regular face at parties, the clean dark-complexioned man has not really shown his face at shindigs despite many colourful ones thrown.

Some say his loss of the Ooni stool was one of the reasons why he went under. Indeed, it appears his hibernation started with the emergence of Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi as the Ooni of Ife.
