There is no disputing the fact that weekends in Lagos State witness a lot of parties.
However, one party which attracted the presence of a whole lot of socialites recently was the 65th birthday ceremony of Nigeria’s richest woman, Folorunsho Alakija.
The classic and tasteful party, which held at the Ballroom, Lagos Oriental Hotel, Lagos State, attracted top personalities like former Cross Rivers State governor, Donald Duke and his pretty wife Onari; Abike Dabiri; first lady of Lagos State, Bolanle Ambode; former Lagos State first lady, Abimbola Fashola; Toyin Saraki and others.
Typical of a party organised by Nigeria’s richest woman, the shindig was indeed lavished and stylish with a lot to eat and drink.
The high point of the event was the photo session which was heralded by Alakija’s dashing sons to the admiration of guests at the event. No doubt, Alakija was a fulfilled woman on the day.
