Democratic candidate in the US Presidential election, Joe Biden, has stated that he and his running mate Senator Kamala Harris will be declared winners of the election when all ballots are counted.
Biden stated this during a briefing on Thursday, November 5.
He said votes are sacred in America and called for every ballot to be counted in accordance with the will of voters.
Biden stated that democracy can be messy, but also noted that democracy requires patience. Biden said he and Harris feel very good about where things stand at the moment.
He urged Americans to stay calm, emphasising that the process is working and the vote count would soon be completed.
