Unknown gunmen have killed four police officers and two civilians in Calabar, Rivers State.
The incident happened at a checkpoint at Ayanmbat Community near Idundu in the Aka Efa area of the Cross River capital.
The policemen were reportedly killed while resting at the location. At least two other civilians were also killed in the process.
Interestingly, the tragic incident happened 24 hours after some policemen were killed in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State.
