The fantasy wedding of Mavin Records’ Tiwa Savage would have been a total success had she gone for a simple wedding gown.
However, in a show of affluence the songstress opted for a Vera Wang design which rather than give her the image of a princess did the opposite.
The typical Vera Wang gown would have naturally given the songstress a perfect fit, as the designer who made the dress has made a mark in international fashion industry.
However, in the case of Tiwa rather than make her look like a Greek goddess, she simply wasn’t good enough in the dress.
For the average untrained person in fashion business, the songbird’s dress looks sensational and amazingly beautiful.
But we are told that the ball, strapless gown could have been perfect if Tiwa was a fuller figure woman but for her shape it was off the mark. One is forced to ask why the songstress was bent on losing weight weeks before the wedding since she had already done her fitting for the dress.
“The gown looked oversized at first glance and that is not a good sign at all. Tiwa is svelte, with an hour-glass shape to die for; did you notice that with the dress? If you didn’t then that dress did not pass the first test of fitting. Maybe the gown, minus the frills would have worked better,” one of the experts noted.
