Once, Senator Tokunbo Afikuyomi was a regular face in political circles. He rose from the ranks becoming a Commissioner in Lagos State and a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Then his whirlwind political rise took a nosedive, as he lost his place in the order of top politicians.
Now, he renders special favours such as organising primary for his party.
One of his last assignments was the 2017 All Progressive Congress (APC) local government primary which held in Teslim Balogun Stadium.
Since then, his alignment with party bigwigs has been amazing, as he continues to strategise his big comeback.
He was one of the people on the entourage of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu when the National leader of the APC visited Joe Oke-Odumakin, wife of the recently deceased Yinka Odumakin, spokesman of the Yoruba socio-cultural group, Afenifere.
Also on the entourage were notable individuals such as Chief Pius Akinyelure, Dele Alake, Comrade Adewale Ayodele, Prof Sylvester Odion, Dr. Tunji Abayomi, Barr. Shittu, Dr. Abiola Akiode-Afolabi, Comrade Rasak Obasola Oladosu Busca, Comrade Cadar and Deji Bademosi.
