Security Operatives Arrest Maina’s Fleeing Son

Security operatives have arrested Faisal Maina, the 21-year-old son of Abdulrasheed Maina, a former chairman of the Pension Reform Task Team (PRTT) being tried for money laundering.
Faisal was apprehended by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Wednesday, December 9.
His arrest was confirmed by the EFCC to the court on Thursday, December 10.
Recall that Faisal had jumped bail since June 24, 2020. Faisal who was declared wanted by the Federal High Court in Abuja is facing a three-count charge on money laundering levelled against him by the anti-graft agency.
The arrest of Faisal comes after his father was reported to have collapsed in a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja during his trial.
Maina fainted while his lawyer, Anayo Adibe, was addressing the court before Justice Okon Abang who was presiding over his case.
