For being my best friend, my biggest cheerleader, my confidant and for being the best husband I could have ever dreamt of having. God dey create and he certainly took time to create you. I have learnt to be kinder, gentler, more generous through watching you I am a better person just by knowing you. The lord shield you…remember, he didn't say the weapons won't be formed…he said they won't prosper. May you continue to dwell in the secret place of the most high. Anyone that blesses you will be blessed, whomever curses you will be cursed, anyone that digs a pit for you will fall into it, Nations shall rise and call you blessed, kings will not sit till you walk into the room. I bless you with the blessings of Abraham, Isaac and Israel. A city set upon a hill cannot be hidden. I declare that your glory will never be hidden. Lies are only for a moment but truth will continue forever (proverbs 12:19- NCV) and you my darling, are the truth. I love you longtime. Truly, madly, deeply.

Coronavirus: Beverly Naya Ask Salient Question

Published

on

Beverly Naya

Nollywood actress, Beverly Naya has asked a salient question in line with the stay-at-home advice given to Nigerians.

The advice came in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic and the way it has continued to spread.

Questioning the logic behind the advice, Naya asked who would support the low-income earners while they stay at home.

She wrote:

“Who will support the low-income earners while at home? How can they possibly be convinced that staying at home could save their lives when hunger and poverty give them stress on a daily basis. They will definitely be needing financial assistance, I hope FG realises this.

“The sooner we realise that living in Lala land is not what will protect us, the better for everyone. Everyone needs to be on their toes so people can take this pandemic seriously! The more information we have, the better prepared we’ll be to protect ourselves and our loved ones.”

Recall that the Director of Public Policy Initiative at Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Foundation, Amara Nwankpa had advised the Federal Government to declare work-free days and encourage stay at home.

He tweeted;

Nigerians are being asked to take a lot of personal responsibility for preventing the spread of #COVID19 but the Federal Government needs to step up and declare work free days and encourage stay at home. If you don’t do it, it will be hard to pull this off.

Reacting to the advice, Beverly Naya wondered how low-income earners can be convinced that staying at home could save their lives when hunger and poverty give them stress on a daily basis. She added that low-income earners will definitely need financial assistance.
