The entertainment industry was thrown into shock days back when Davido tagged Mercy Johnson-Okogie and her husband Prince Odi Okojie “wicked people”.
Family members, friends, and colleagues of the thespian had taken to Instagram to congratulate her for the arrival of her fourth baby but were corrected by her husband that she was yet to put to bed.
Reacting to a post by Eniola Badmus, Davido wrote: “Wicked people, congratulations though.”
When asked why he called out the couple, the singer simply replied “Nothing just evil set of people that are all.”
However, www.theoctopusnews.com can reveal the issue between Davido and the Okojie. A source close to Davido has revealed that the trouble between the duo started when Davido failed to show up for a performance he had been paid for by Prince Odi.
According to the source, Davido collected N 3 million to perform at the opening ceremony of Henod Luxury Hotels located in Abulegba, Lagos State.
The hotel was built by Prince Odi, while he and his family resided in Omole Estate, Lagos State. At the opening of the hotel, Davido failed to show up despite being paid, the singer was on a tour of America on the date he was supposed to be at the opening of the hotel.
Efforts to reach him and his management failed, hence Prince Odi had to drag him to court. Our source revealed that the issue was subsequently settled out of court. However, Davido still holds a grudge with the couple, hence the attack on Instagram.
