President Buhari Inaugurates Permanent Secretaries

Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari, has inaugurated the newly appointed permanent secretaries and other government officials.
The swearing ceremony, which held inside the council chambers at the State House, Abuja on Wednesday, August 26, highlighted the virtual Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting of the week.
Bashir Ahmad, the presidential aide on new media, made this disclosure via a tweet on his Twitter page on Wednesday afternoon.
“At the commencement of this week’s virtual Federal Executive Council (vFEC) Meeting, President Muhammadu Buhari sworn-in the new appointed Permanent Secretaries and other Government Officials at the Council Chambers, the State House, Abuja,” Ahmad tweeted.
Recall that President Buhari had on Tuesday, June 16, approved the appointment of 12 new permanent secretaries in the federal civil service.
This information was disclosed by the Head of Service of the Federation (HoSF), Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan. The 12 new appointees were part of the 41 federal directors shortlisted for an oral interview recently to fill the 16 vacant federal permanent secretary positions.
