Spokesman of the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the arrest of the suspect.
He also debunked claim of the police having no interest in pursuing the case.
He told newsmen;
“How exactly do you mean ‘the police are not answering?’ The suspect has been arrested and is still in custody. A medical report that would ensure a conviction is being expected.
“We don’t pander to emotions but deal with evidence to prove issues beyond reasonable doubt,” he said.
Recall that Twitter user @TheVawulence who initially reported the story on social media, Twitter alleged that the management of the Abraham Adesanya, Lekki, Lagos-based school were trying to cover up the sad development.
Also, he alleged that when the minor was abused, she reported to her teacher, Mr David, but was allegedly flogged and told not to tell anyone.
Furthermore, he alleged that the security man laughed off the parents of the child when they reported the issue to the management of the school, adding that nothing will happen and he will get off without consequences because he knows how powerful the school is with the police.
