Greater Scholar International School, Lekki, Lagos has been drawn into an alleged rape controversy.
According to information emerging, a security man at the school allegedly raped a 4-year-old child who is a student at the school.
Twitter user @TheVawulence who initially reported the story on social media, Twitter alleged that the management of the Abraham Adesanya, Lekki, Lagos-based school were trying to cover up the sad development.
He alleged that when the minor was abused, she reported to her teacher, Mr David, but was allegedly flogged and told not to tell anyone.
Furthermore, he alleged that the security man laughed off the parents of the child when they reported the issue to the management of the school, adding that nothing will happen and he will get off without consequences because he knows how powerful the school is with the police.
@TheVawulence also alleged that the father of the girl went to report the case to the police but the owner of the school brought thugs to threaten him.
He also alleged that the Managing Director of the school named Comfort Ukpong paid the police at Ajiwe Police Station and also threatened the father of the child with thugs when he tried to speak up.
Describing what was done to her by the security man using a teddy bear, the victim gave a graphic description of what the security man did to her, yet the school management said she must never tell anyone.
In his tweet, @TheVawulence wrote; “So a 4 year old girl was r*aped by the security of a school in lekki Lagos the name of the school is Greater Scholars International School The father of the girl went to report the case to the police but the owner of the school brought thugs to threaten him.
“The school is @GreaterScholar and they are using their money to pay the police. The security said he’s very sure he will get out of this without consequences because he knows how powerful the school is with the police and he started laughing when the father came to complain. @BenHundeyin we want Justice.
“When she was abused, she went to report to her teacher that Mr David put his thing in my bumbum, the teacher flogged her and told her not to tell anyone. We need Justice. The police are not answering.
“This is the managing director of the school her name is comfort Ukpong She paid the police at Ajiwe police station and they have threatened the father with thugs not to speak up.”
“This is the thugs blocking the gate when the father went to report the case. @BenHundeyin we need Justice. They limited the comment on their IG page and the security was even laughing when he was being reported. His statement was “Nothing will happen”
“The girl was asked to describe what was done to her using a teddy bear and she described what exactly happened and they said she must never tell anyone.
“This is the security guy smiling after he said nothing is going to happen to him. @BenHundeyin we want Justice.”
Efforts by www.theoctopusnews.com to speak with the management of Greater Scholar International School, Lekki, Lagos proved abortive as a call to the school’s phone number 08029660967 was initially picked. However, further efforts to clarify the allegation proved futile, as the lady who initially spoke with our reporter refused to pick subsequent calls.
A request by the school for all inquiries to be sent by text message was heeded by our reporter, but was not responded to as at the time of going to press.
