On Segun Awolowo’s Return
His assumption of office as Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) was without fanfare.
However, as soon as he got the job, Segun Awolowo, became the man of the moment, as he made sure everyone knew his new title.
At his office, he became a lord and soon had silent enemies who just couldn’t tolerate him, hence when his tenure ended and he was strategically awaiting his reappointment by President Muhammadu Buhari, his subordinates thwarted his efforts and made sure he handed over.
With his second coming following his re-appointment by the President, Awolowo has adopted a different attitude to his work.
The man is now more calm and introverted even in his office. A bird whispered that he indeed learnt one or two things from his experience when his first appointment expired.
