Nigeria’s ambassador to Spain, Demola Seriki is dead.

Until his death, Seriki’s was a seasoned politician, and a former Nigerian Minister.

His death was announced on Thursday, December 15 via an obituary signed and released by his children.

According to the family, the politician died in Madrid the capital in the early hours of the day.

“It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude to Almighty Allah that we announce the loss of our much-loved and admired patriarch, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, His Excellency, Ambassador Demola Seriki, on December 15, 2022.

“He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family in Madrid, Spain.”

There were report that he had been battling cancer until he eventually died.

Seriki was a politician, educator, businessperson, and public administrator.

Born on November 30, 1959. He was appointed Nigeria’s ambassador to Spain in January 2021, and he held that position until his death. He was also accredited to represent Nigeria as the country’s permanent representative to the United Nations World Tourism Organization. He previously held the position of Minister of State for Defense in Nigeria.
