Nigerian Governor Test Positive To COVID-19

Niger State Governor, Abubakar Sani Bello, has tested positive for COVID-19.

The governor made the disclosure on Monday, November 9, via his Twitter account.

He also revealed that he has since gone into self-isolation.

Announcing his condition, he tweeted: “Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello has tested positive for the novel coronavirus. Governor Sani Bello who revealed the news today said the result of his latest test came back positive and he had consequently proceeded on self-isolation.”

Recall that the NCDC has been warning of a second wave of the coronavirus pandemic in the country.

The NCDC Director-General, Chikwe Ihekweazu, made this known on Monday, November 9, at a media briefing with reporters organised by the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).

He said in order for Nigeria to avoid the second wave of the virus, Nigerians must abide by the protocols and guidelines developed.
