Former Governor of Adamawa State, Murtala Nyako
Adamawa State Governor Murtala Nyako has been impeached by the State’s House of Assembly.
The governor, was impeached on Tuesday, July 15.
His deputy, Bala Ngillari, resigned before the impeachment proceedings commenced.
With Nyako and Ngillari exit, Alhaji Umaru Fintiri, speaker of the state House of Assembly, automatically becomes the acting governor.
This is coming after a panel of investigation probed allegations of financial misconducts against him.
