The wind of change is currently blowing in a positive direction for HRM Muhammadu Sanusi.

Almost all through his life, the man has found himself at the top, always dishing out instructions, hardly receiving any.

A former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Sanusi was also at a point the General Manager of United Bank for Africa (UBA). At different times, he was also an Executive Director, the Chief Executive Officer and Group Managing Director of First Bank of Nigeria.

His appointment as the Emir of Kano has however changed a lot of things, as his authority is subject to the approval of the State governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

In an unfamiliar ground, Sanusi has suffered several ridicules including the reduction of his authority with the creation of new emirates and being ordered by Ganduje to report to the states Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Chieftaincy and Local Government Affair.

Dampened by the environment he found himself, Sanusi recently had reasons to be jolly, as he received his fourth wife, Sa’adatu Barkindo Mustapha who he married four years ago.

Having tied the nuptial knot four years ago, Sa’adatu proceeded to study in the United Kingdom. Now a graduate, she returned to her husband’s house where the traditional Bukar Kai ceremony to usher in a new bride was celebrated. Sanusi can enjoy this new wind of change.
