Mavin Records boss, Don Jazzy, has revealed that the label is still working with Tiwa Savage.
Following reactions that trailed Tiwa Savage’s exit from Mavin Records, Don Jazzy said he was surprised at the manner with which the songstress’s new deal with Universal Music Group was taken.
He revealed that a lot of people actually felt that Tiwa Savage had totally severed ties with Mavin Records, adding that it was a wrong line of thought.
According to him, Mavin Records will still receive royalties from Tiwa’s works for the rest of their lives, adding that they are still business partners.
“To everybody, it just looks like she has gone to the land beyond beyond. I don’t understand. We’re still business partners, they’re still catalogs that we share, we’re still going to be receiving royalties for the rest of our lives, so we’re still working together.”
Speaking on his relationship with Tiwa Savage, Don Jazzy described the songstress as one of his favourite business partners of all times.
