For the first time after weeks of confusion, Mabel Makun has opened up on the crisis rocking her marriage with comedian, Ayo Makun.
In the past weeks, the couple have become estranged with Mabel dumping her husband after discovering he had a teenage love child.
During this time, AY has tried to hold brief for himself, at one point saying that silence does not necessarily means guilt. He also added that issues surrounding the dispute between him and his wife were sensitive for his children, as he would not want his daughter to go online and find unpalatable information about his family.
AY as the popular comedian is know added that he is not solely responsible for whatever is happening in his marriage.
However, in reaction to the several speculations making the rounds about the circumstances in the marriage, Mabel has now spoken up, saying that distance is her new response to disrespect.
In a post on Instagram, Mabel referred to AY as her ex-husband and the father of her children, adding that though her dream of a long life marriage had taken a different direction, she is committed to moving forward with grace and resilience.
She also asked those speculating about the cause of her failed marriage with AY to be considerate and give them the privacy they want.
She wrote,
The couple had been married for 20 years before their marriage collapsed.
