The Evangelical Church of Winning All (ECWA) has made its stance known in the burning controversy of Bishop Mathew Kukah’s statement.
The leadership of ECWA on Tuesday, December 29, affirmed its support for Bishop Kukah, insisting that there was nothing new in what he had said.
In a statement issued by its General Secretary, Rev. Yunusa Nmadu in Kaduna State, on Tuesday, December 29, he stated that the cleric had spoken the minds of Nigerians.
According to ECWA, there is no use denying that the country under the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari is now a centre for bloodshed. The church leadership went on to warn against anything happening to Kukah, adding that the Nigerian leader should face the job for which he swore to and fulfill his campaign promises.
They said rather than the federal government dissipating its energy to sponsoring fake groups to attack the bishop, the government must immediately take steps towards addressing those concerns raised by Kukah.
