The boisterous city of Lagos was shutdown for Chief Mrs. Kemi Nelson, a former Commissioner in Lagos State, chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC), and international business woman, as her son Anreti Abayomi Nelson tied the nuptial knot with his lover Tolulope Abayomi Lawal.

The chain of events leading to the grand finale includes a colourful traditional wedding which took place on Thursday, November 28, at The Haven Event Centre, along Oba Akinjobi Road GRA, Ikeja, Lagos amid fanfare, class and panache.

The engagement, officially ensured that the families of Mr. Ismail Adetola Lawal and Mrs. Kehinde Lawal and that of the Nelson’s became one.

However, the white wedding which took place at Archbishop Vinning Memorial Church Cathedral, Ikeja, Lagos, on Saturday, November 30, was the icing on the cake, as top political juggernauts, society egg heads, captain of industries such as Gov. Babatunde Raji Fashola, Gov. Kayode Fayemi, Adeyemi Ikuforiji, Senator Bola Tinubu, Sade Okoya, Rasaq Okoya, Joko Oni, Muiz Banire and several other important dignitaries gathered in celebration for the Yeyesewa of Lagos State and the newly wed couple.

Choice food and vintage wines were in regular supply, as Chief Nelson ensured that her caterers were at all times available for guests present.
