Ibukun Awosika’s Other Interest

That Ibukun Awosika, Chairman, First Bank of Nigeria, has a busy schedule is like saying the rainbow has several colours.
After work, one wouldn’t expect the woman to have responsibilities that would take her leisure time.
If you concur with this position, then you are wrong, as Awosika’s love for children has seen her putting her hands in other pies including education.
On days, when she is not occupying herself with her responsibilities at First Bank of Nigeria, Awosika is playing her role as a member of the board of Imperial Gate School, a private school located at Rasheed Alaba Williams Street, Lekki Phase I, Lagos State.
Aptly called IGS, the school was founded in 2007 by Mrs. Omobolanle Olubunmi Remilekun who died in 2010.
Awosika plays big atop the board of the school, which is considered exclusive. Her role on the board is said to also keep her busy.
