Laye singer, Kiss Daniel has described the genre of music he does as Afrocentric.
Speaking during an interview, when asked about his genre of music he reacted thus “I always want Africa to reflect in my sound. Afropop, Afro RnB, Afro Hiphop.”
On his source of inspiration, he said “I don’t go to anywhere when I want to write a song. I just go to the studio and do my thing. I am sort of an introvert and when I am in my space I think about a lot of weird things. I try my best to translate weird stuff into my music. It all starts with a thought and I go to the studio and pour it out.”
The singer stated that his intention is to bring back the old days of good music.
