The deputy national publicity secretary of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Yekini Nabena, has stated that erstwhile President Goodluck Jonathan is working for the Buhari-led government.
Nabena stated this while reacting to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) over what it termed as the opposition party’s desperate move to regain power in 2023.
He said that the party was weak and lacked the moral ground to speak on power.
Nabena told the PDP that former president Goodluck Jonathan is a progressive elder statesman working for the administration of the President Muhammdu Buhari-led government.
This reaction follows the visit of some APC governors and chieftains to the former president’s residence on the celebration of his 63rd birthday.
Recall that APC stalwarts led by Mai Mala Buni, governor of Yobe State and caretaker chairman of the party, with other stalwarts, had visited Jonathan on Friday, November 20. T
The visit coincided with the 63rd birthday of the former president.
There were speculations that the visit had to do with the political permutations ahead of the 2023 presidential election.
