Goldie’s low-key second anniversary remembrance

Saturday, February 14, marked the second anniversary of the death ofsinger, Susan Harvey, popular as Goldie.
While some observers did not expect a remembrance party to hold on her behalf, others had expected that, at least, her record label, Kennis Music, would have shown her some respect, even in death.
This never happened, as there was no event to remember the lady who, just before her death, was the most popular music act on Kennis Music.
Speaking with www.theoctopusnews.com, on the fact that friends seemed to have forgotten Goldie two years after her demise Kenny Saint Best, one of the brains behind the record label, simply said, “I don’t want to comment on the issue.”
Television personality, Derenle Edun, was one of the few people who visited the tombstone of Goldie this year. However, he has been severally criticised for turning the visit into a media fanfare.
Born October 23, 1981, Goldie died of intra-cerebral hemorrhage caused by hypertensive heart disease, at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Lagos, shortly after returning from Los Angeles, where she had gone to witness the Grammy Awards.
