The saying that lightning does not strike twice in a particular place is a popular one.
However, for some people including Instagram socialite, Ismaila Mustapha also known as Mompha, there are exception to certain rules.
Indeed, Lightning has strucked for Mompha twice, as the man who was granted a N200m bail by Justice Mojisola Dada of the Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos in a six billion alleged fraud suit is set to be rearrested again after jumping bail.
Mompha who was arrested on January 10, 2022, by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), arraigned on an eight-count charge bordering on conspiracy to launder funds obtained through unlawful activity, but was subsequently granted bail.
However, he jumped bail and has not surfaced in court for two sitting, thus forcing Justice Dada to on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, revoked his N200m bail and also issued a bench warrant for his arrest.
This is not the first time Mompha will be jumping bail. His case has been adjourned till June 30, 2022.
