Presidential aide, Bashir Ahmad has absolved the Federal Government of blame as far as Facebook, Whatsapp, and Instagram not working in the country is concerned.

The social media platforms owned by the same parent company have been down globally for about three hours, with the owners confirming that they were aware of the situation.

Reacting to the development, Ahmad, took to his Snapchat handle this evening to debunk claims in some quarters that the Federal government is behind the current crash of Facebook, Whatsapp, and Instagram.

Many users of the app have since not been able to use it due to a global crash that occurred at about 4 pm today.

The crash follows an allegation by a former staff of the company who seems to have insinuated that Facebook deliberately seeks to promote violence in order to increase sales and usage time on the platform.
