Emeka Ihedioha’s Integrity Put To Test?

Elizabeth George’s quote “Your friends are a reflection of you” needs no special interpretation.

Likewise is the saying “show me your friend and I will tell you who you are.”

However, not all friends are truly a reflection of a person.

This is a position which the Imo State governor, Emeka Ihedioha will readily agree with.

Having gathered followership and respect due to his fight against corruption, Ihedioha’s integrity was recently questioned when it was unraveled that Chika Odionyenma, one of the 80 suspected wire fraudsters unveiled by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), was actually a member of his inauguration committee.

Though the governor via an official statement released by his Special Assistant on New Media, Akwarandu Izuchukwu has stated that Odionyenma was not an alleged fraudster at the time he served him, there is no denying the fact that the recent ‘movie’ is a sinister to his image with respects to his profile in the fight against corruption.

This is a fact which Allen Oyenma, the Chairman of Air Peace is aware of.

Known for his shrewd ways of doing business, Onyema falls among the category of men who run their business with only the profit line in mind.

His road to being a patriot, however, stated when he promised to fly Nigerians free from South Africa.

The number of time a man falls is irrelevant, it is the number of time he is able to rise that matters.

Senator Dino Melaye is indeed a fallen man presently, but will he be able to bounce back?

Loved by his people, he rose from the lowest of political arrangements to the House of Representatives. From the House of Representative, the man was elected to the Senate.

While his first term as a Senator under the protective arm of Bukola Saraki was a roller-coaster, his return has proven to be something else.

Removed from the Senate by a tribunal, Melaye’s hope of maintaining some political relevance by emerging the first citizen of Kogi State was dashed when he lost the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial primaries to Engineer Musa Wada. In the lowest political ebb imaginable, the chance that Melaye will be able to bounce back is a common topic of discussion.
