To be celebrated while alive is a thing of joy. However, when the celebrant is deceased events held to remember him or her usually considered more honourable, as it is often assumed that such a person must have lived a life worthy of celebration.

This postulation aptly describes the life and times of Mrs. Elsie Michael Ibru popularly addressed as Auntie.

Auntie, whose 25th memorial held at Habour Point, Victoria Island, Lagos on Saturday, February 7, must have been really elated in her grave, as the venue of the event was packed to its brim.

Devoid of noise and distractions, the blue and white affair saw in attendance the Ibru siblings, their friends and associates.

With a variety of food, small chops, an assortment of vintage wines, good comedy and evegreen music readily available, the atmosphere was more than anyone could have asked for, as guests enjoyed themselves to the hilt.

The dinner was attended by the likes of Flavour, Dotun Omotoye, Shina Rambo, Gbenga Adeyinka 1st, who was the compeer. Others in attendance that had some specific, exquisite touché were Gloria Ibru, who ensured that thes music was excellent, while Elvina Ibru ensured the venue remained sparkling even as the event progressed and came to a climax.
