The Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Hon. Funminiyi Afuye is dead.
He died at the Ekiti State Teaching Hospital in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State on Wednesday, October 19, after suffering from cardiac arrest.
He was reportedly rushed to the hospital in the early hours of same day he died.
Afuye was last seen publicly when he attended the inauguration ceremony of Governor Biodun Oyebanji, on Sunday, October 16.
He was also said to have attended plenary on Tuesday, October 18, and was also at the interfaith thanksgiving service organised to mark the commencement of the administration of the new governor.
