Catholic priest, Fr Kelvin Ugwu, has condemned gospel musician Moses Bliss for playing god.

Fr Ugwu’s reaction follows a viral video in which actress Ekene Umenwa was spotted kneeling for singer Moses Bliss at her wedding.
Umenwa, who was dancing with her husband during the reception of her wedding was elated to see Bliss delivering a surprise performance. She subsequently rushed to him and hugged his knee. Upon getting up, she hugged the singer twice before returning to her husband.
Reacting to the video, the clergy said, “The video says a lot about the bride and more about the minister.
He went on to said that the bride “was literally out of control”, adding that Minsiters these days make themselves gods and are even excited when they are seen as such.
The clergy pointed out that when such happened in the Bible, the apostles and disciples were “always quick to correct that impression and remind the people that they were ordinary men.”
Furthermore, he noted that “In the trending video, the minister was busy enjoying the show. When you see something that is not right, correct it immediately. Others will also learn from it.”
Also, he said that Ekene’s action was “not supposed to be funny. But this is what happens when ministers make themselves superstars.”
