Olajide Adediran, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate in Lagos State has explain his choice for Funke Akindele as deputy governor as opposed to Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour.

This comes amidst a deputy governor crisis between Chief Bode George, a chieftain of the PDP and Adediran.

According to George, Adediran who is also referred to as Jandor stepped outside the confines of an agreement reached by the party on his choice of running mate.

While speaking on News Central, George had said Adediran flouted the agreement to make Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour his running mate, instead of Funke Akindele.

According to him, Adediran’s decision to pick Akindele, the actress, as running mate forced Rhodes-Vivour to join the Labour Party as its standard bearer for the Lagos governorship election.

However, while speaking on the issue with presenters of popular television program on Television Continental, ‘Yourview”, Adediran who described George as an unrepentant and chronic lair stated that his choice of Akindele was because she is less-smart, docile and had investment in Lagos.

Jandor also described Rhodes Vivour as a plaque that should be avoided.

“I don’t want to be the governor that changes deputy governors, I chose a less-smart, docile Funke over Rhodes because of her investment in Lagos.”

Meanwhile, Rhodes-Vivour, has described Adediran as a man lacking in integrity and honour. He started this while speaking on Channel Television’s current affairs program, Politic Today.
