Socio-political activist, Deji Adeyanju, has slammed religious leaders for asking their church members to vote based on religious beliefs.

Adeyanju also condemned religious leaders asking their members to vote along ethnic lines, adding that God has no business with Nigerian thieving politicians.

He urged Nigerians to reject the urge to vote for people for religious or ethnic purposes, specifically condemning the remarks an Islamic cleric in Kano made while calling on Muslims to vote Tinubu/Shettima.

He added that the cleric’s action is no different from pastors calling on member’s to vote for a particular candidate because it is God’s will.
