A display of sheer indicipline by policemen attached to Ekiti State First Lady, Erelu Bisi Fayemi, has left scores dead in Ekiti State.
According to a report by Shybellmedia, the policemen allegedly opened fire on protesting students of Federal University, Oye Ekiti (FUOYE).
The students were reportedly engaging in a peaceful protest over poor power supply in the community.
However, the protest went sour after policemen attached to Ekiti First Lady’s convoy allegedly opened fire on them, killing two students.
In retaliation, the students also attacked one of the policemen, setting the office of the Benin Electricity Distribution Company and a police van ablaze. The situation is a bit calm as student returns home but promise to return back into action morrow morning.
The management of the school has since closed it down indefinitely.
