Many were surprised when conservative musician Waje came out saying a lot of youths wanted fame, but were not ready to work for it.

“Young people think it’s all about wearing makeup, smiling, and taking photos, but it requires hard work. “What’s your worth? The value you bring? Successful people grind!,” she wrote.

When the singer made the comment, many wondered if it was just that she felt like writing something or if it was being direct at somebody.

Well, we can reveal to you that it was directed at her ex-personal assistant, Yvonne Imongan.

In a clap back, Imongan, has replied Waje saying that she almost lost her life working for her.

In a reaction to Waje’s open letter, Imongan said “I almost lost my life working with you; personal assistants are people’s children not classified maids.”

She went on to explain her trouble with Waje saying “I almost lost my life running errands for her. All I asked for was time to study for my forthcoming exams and also in the midst work for her. I wasn’t really about the pay. I fell ill in the process working and funny didn’t get a lil support for my medical bills. I let that slid. All this drama just started this morning when I asked her for a few days to study, she asked if this job was convenient and I replied no just for the main time not like I wanted to quit. Then she said that I can go back. I thought that she understood as a mother would. Tomorrow completes a month I started working with her efficiently. I got home and asked if I would be paid for the one month I worked and she replied no saying that I was on probation. Sometimes I come home late without eating and sometimes I have to resume work without eating and it caused my ulcer to start again. She started all this by bringing it to the social media. Interestingly, Waje has since said that she’ll henceforth hire the services of a professional agency when next she intends to hire domestic staff.
