Arunma Oteh makes a detour
The popular expression is that “life begins at 40.”
However, for Arunma Oteh, the former director general of the Security and Exchange Commission (SEC), life seems to have begun for her at 50.
Oteh’s reign as the SEC boss was one, which was quite controversial.
The height of the woman’s many controversies was when she was sent on compulsory leave by the board of the commission, which later recommended that she be formally dismissed, as blames for the failure of the capital market was heaped on her doorstep.
Oteh who recently clocked 50 made a detour from her controversial ways when she celebrated her 50th birthday in Abuja not too long ago.
The woman surprised many as she celebrated with an orphanage giving children from the place gifts and even sharing a cake with them. She subsequently had a reception for her close friends at Congress Hall, Transcorp Hilton Hotel.
Oteh’s singular act of celebrating with the less privileged has left a lot of people wondering about her new person.
