Allen Onyema: A Saint Or Sinner?

Allen Onyema, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Air Peace can be very unpredictable.

It appears that in an instant, he is a saint and in another time, he is far from it.

Many would remember how Onyema became a messiah of a sort when his airline ferried stranded Nigerians from South Africa back home during the xenophobia attacks.

Then, Nigerians were so impressed that Onyema was recognised by the House of Representatives. The Speaker of the house, Femi Gbajabiamila was indeed moved that he showered praises on the man.

All of that, however, paled out with the recent massive sacking of employees of the airline.

At a time when people are struggling to earn a living due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Onyema has made things worse for several pilots and support staff whose job he recently took.

Hinging his reason on the devastating effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on business, the messiah appears to have turned something else.
