Access Bank Introduces PayDay Loan on USSD code *901*11#

With the intent to provide quicker and instant access to loans for employees, Access Bank Plc has launched PayDay Loan, Nigeria’s first fully digital lending service. PayDay Loan can be accessed on USSD code *901*11# and across over 2,000 Access Bank ATMs pan Nigeria.

 

PayDay Loan requires no collateral or guarantor, enabling Nigerian employees obtain loans instantly without visiting the bank – helping employees meet their urgent financial needs all round the clock and at any time of the month.

 

In a statement released by the Bank, the Executive Director, Personal Banking, Victor Etuokwu said, “Accessing loans in Nigeria especially for individuals has always been tedious due to issues around collateral requirements and lengthy approval processes. Leveraging our capacity as leader in digital innovation, we are bridging the gap in the provision of credits to Nigerian employees. PayDay Loan is the first of many interventions we shall be launching into the market in the coming days. We are maintaining a strong focus on employees who are the engine of growth of the economy. Our aim is to sustain our drive in developing digital products that will enable employees achieve the quality of life they deserve.”

PayDay Loan is available to salary earning Nigerians through digital platforms that offer instant loan eligibility based on robust credit algorithms. Loan disbursals is within seconds from the point of request. Customers can simply dial *901*11# or visit any of the 2000+ Access Bank ATMs to get instant loans credited into their bank accounts whenever they have need for cash. It is quick. It is easy. There are however many who give with the main objective of scoring cheap points and playing to the gallery.

Many consider Femi Otedola a philanthropist, but what manner of philanthropist is the man?

Known to have leant a helping hand to some people in the past, his gestures have however been said to have hidden intentions.

There have been speculations that the man’s philanthropy is targeted at creating a soft landing for him when he eventually unveils his big picture.

Known to have picked the medical bills of individuals such as former Super Eagles captain and coach, Christian Chukwu; ace broadcaster, Sadiq Daba; and more recently legendary musician, Majek Fashek; the fact that his philanthropy is only focused on known individuals has raised eyebrows.

Chukwuma Soludo Bounces Back

Chukwuma Soludo’s experience confirms the fact that it doesn’t matter the number of time a man falls, as long as he can get up.

An economics professor, Soludo was once the Governor and Chairman of the board of directors of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

He, however, fell into obscurity when his tenure as Governor of CBN ended, as even the economic advice he gave while he was out of office were contested.

Soludo however recently bounced back when he was appointed a member of the newly inaugurated Economic Advisory Council (EAC), a group which will be responsible for advising President Muhammadu Buhari on economic policy matters, including fiscal analysis, economic growth and a range of internal and global economic issues.

Though Soludo is just a member of the council, he returns to the thick of things after a while in hibernation.
