The moves of the chairman of Ardova Plc, AbdulWasiu Sowami are always well-thought-out even before they are executed.
Hence, his audacious acquisition of Forte Oil seemed like clockwork.
Soft-spoken Sowami recently made another daring move recently with his company Ardova Plc, a leading integrated energy company launching its first service station on Thursday, December 12.
The state of the art service station located at Oniru, Lekki, Lagos State has now become a one-stop point for consumers seeking automobile fuel.
Present at the launch event were notable personalities such as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ardova Plc; Olumide Adeosun; and the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Moshood Olajide.
Also present was the MD IAO Trading, Prince Olumide Oniru, and a delegation from the Department of Petroleum Resource (DPR), which included Ayo Cardoso, Lagos Zonal Office Controller.
Speaking at the event, Adeosun assured guests that more of such service station would be springing up soon.
According to him, as part of rethinking its downstream strategy, Ardova Plc aside from retailing automotive fuel will also focus on other services including selling lubricants and eventually becoming a source of clean energy.
He also stated that with Ardova Plc partnering with Shell, it will be selling Shell’s lubricants products as the main distributor.
Highlighting the hallmark of the integrated Nigerian company, Adeosun emphasised areas such as improved service delivery, modularity such that other services could be accommodated on the platform while preaching community embedding.
In his vote of thanks to climax the event, Olajide appreciated the team that worked to ensure that the service station had become a reality.
He disclosed that while the solar-powered service station was meant to be launched earlier, it has eventually been done.
Thanking individuals who made it possible, he assured that the standard of Ardova Plc as noticed in the service station will not be compromised.
