Nigeria’s Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire, has revealed the side effect of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine.
According to him, the vaccine has mild side effects.
He revealed this in a statement during a vaccination exercise at the presidential villa on Saturday, March 6.
Ehanire explained that while the administration of the vaccine is expected to be painless, some vaccinated people may experience small pains.
The minister said: “The process itself is simple. We are using a narrow gauge syringe, which will be very painless and it is a small quantity that is injected into the muscle of your upper arm.
“The after effect, as we know so far are mild. There can be a small pain in the area where it was injected.”
Ehanire disclosed that a small percentage of people can feel a little bit of discomfort after receiving the jab. However, he stated that there are no severe adverse effects associated with this vaccine.
