Legendary highlife musician, Dr. Victor Abimbola Olaiya has been laid to rest.
Olaiya was buried on Thursday, May 7 at the Vaults & Garden Cemetery in Ikoyi, Lagos State.
The singer who is known for his repertoire of music died at the age of 89 on February 12, at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH).
His private burial ceremony was attended by selected family members and very few friends. It was also streamed live on Facebook.
The attendees were spotted wearing face masks and also observing social distancing in line with Lagos State Government rules on curbing the spread of COVID-19.
