Gunmen have killed a police orderly attached to the chairman of Ikpoba-Okha local government area, Dr. Eric Osayande.
Late Sergeant Oisa Monday Ehigie was shot dead on during the weekend at Nomayo Junction along Upper Sokponba road in Ikpoba-Okha local government.
His death has been linked to the on-going cult war in Benin City in which several persons have been killed in different parts of the State.
This comes two days after gunmen abducted a candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State, Mr Michael Ohio – Ezomon and shot dead his police orderly.
Ohio – Ezomon, a former member of the state House of Assembly represented the Owan West Constituency between 2011 and 2015, and is currently seeking a return to the House in the forthcoming elections.
