Who emerges the new Olori of Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi has been a topical issue for a while now.
Just as there have been a couple of women linked to Ooni Ogunwusi, so have there been denials too.
Each day, a new woman is linked to the exalted office even as the Ooni keeps mum.
One woman who was recently in the fray is Emmanuella Ropo. Speculations were that Ropo is the woman to replace ex-Olori Wuraola who was recently sent packing from the Ooni’s palace. That Ropo is single and eligible made the speculation more sensible.
Although she has since denied the speculation, saying that she only met the Ooni at the wedding of Juwon Obasanjo and Temitope Kessington Adebutu, there is no doubt that a spotlight has been placed on her as far as the presently single Ooni of Ife is concerned.
